Application Requirements:

Clients must be referred by an emergency shelter Case Manager or other human service provider
Single women and women with children welcome
Rent varies according to income (HUD Guidelines)
$500 deposit is required on move-in date
Applicant must meet eligibility requirements and commit to a 3-18 month program
Applications are accepted on a space-available basis
Selection for the program will be based on greatest need and family's potential for self sufficiency
   

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant must need confidential housing due to domestic violence
Applicant should have a source of income or potential to establish an income within a reasonable period of time
Applicant must be willing to participate in a work training program or have employable skills
Applicant must have no recent alcohol or substance abuse issues
   

Application Process:

Submit application (applications are available from Interface Children Family Services - Domestic VIolence Services)
Interview with Safe Journey Case Manager (the Case Manager will explain program policies, expectations and criteria for selection of participants)
Safe Journey Transitional Housing Program Review Panel will evaluate the candidate's application
The Review Panel will notify the candidate in writing
