We are honored to offer opportunities for donors to designate gifts to two special legacy funds. These funds have been created to ensure that resources will be available and accessible for key programs & services for years to come. They were established out of passion for these programs, for the children, teens, and families they benefit, and to uphold the dreams of very special people in the life of our organization.
Rachel Castillo Legacy Fund (Rachel’s Fund)
Rachel Castillo was a beloved Interface colleague, friend, daughter, and mother. She was a source of positivity in the lives of everyone she encountered. Her kind, caring, and helpful nature left an indelible markon so many of us, and her loss has been deeply felt within our organization and community.
We have established the Rachel Castillo Legacy Fund (Rachel’s Fund) to honor Rachel’s memory. This fund is a way to ensure that her legacy lives on by helping those experiencing and escaping domestic violence by providing additional support to achieve safety, heal from their trauma, and gain their independence. This fund will provide for immediate needs that can put dreams within reach and hope for a better future.
Ron Polito “Be Well, Do Well” Trauma Education & Prevention Fund
Ron Polito made innumerable contributions to his community through Interface Children & Family Services, most notably helping us to address trauma in all forms. He was especially passionate about our child abuse prevention program, “My Body Belongs to Me,” now offered to thousands of children ages 3-12 across Ventura County annually. This program exists today because of Ron and his refusal to see this critical education program end.
In his memory, we have created the Ron Polito “Be Well, Do Well” Education Fund at Interface. This fund will be prioritized to provide ongoing funding for prevention education programs and services, including his beloved “My Body Belongs to Me” program. This fund will ensure that these educational programs will not only continue but expand so that children, teens, and families can be equipped with the education and understanding they need to be safe, healthy, and to thrive.
