Volunteer Position: Graphic Designer
Program: Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force (VCHTTF)
Location: Remote
Language(s): English; Spanish (recommended); Mandarin (recommended)
Volunteer Assignment Description:
- Design and develop culturally responsive pamphlets, outreach material, and brochures for VCHTTF.
- Design and develop culturally responsive media outreach material.
- Participate in the Training and Outreach Subcommittee of the VCHTTF
- Supports documentation of volunteer activities through maintenance of outreach logs; tracking number of outreach activities provided and persons reached.
- Must commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week
Requirements:
- Must complete a minimum of 10 hours of human trafficking training.
- Experience with graphic design, publisher, Canva, and other design software.
- Flexible, remote work. Projects are time sensitive.
- Bilingual volunteers not required, but highly desired

Program: Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention
Location: Various cities throughout Ventura County

Volunteer Assignment Description:
- Assists with outreach to the community by participating in “VCHTTF Awareness Booth” and tabling at literature/resource tables
- Attends community events aimed at: preventing or creating awareness about Human Trafficking; providing support services to victims/survivors
- Helps to identify community festivals, campaigns, and events that would benefit from outreach
- Supports documentation of volunteer activities through maintenance of outreach logs; tracking number of people attended
- Seeks community response to end Human Trafficking by promoting volunteer internship opportunities.
Requirements:
- Must complete 60 hours of domestic violence and human trafficking training and an additional 150 volunteer hours or 1 year to the program
- Committed to preventing human trafficking, raising awareness, and engaging the community

Volunteer Position: Human Trafficking Prevention Assistant
Program: Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention

Volunteer Assignment Description:
- Facilitates Human Trafficking 101 education as a representative of Interface Children Family Services when requested which can include, but is not limited to, the court, community partners and faith-based organizations.
- Contributes to the development of training and informational material (including Spanish or Mandarin translation) addressing Human Trafficking.
- Assists staff in identifying community organizations and individuals that would benefit from Human Trafficking training.
- Supports documentation of volunteer activities through maintenance of outreach logs; tracking number of people attended.
- Seeks community response to end Human Trafficking by promoting volunteer internship opportunities.
Requirements:
- Must complete 60 hours of domestic violence and human trafficking training and an additional 150 volunteer hours or 1 year to the program
- Committed to preventing human trafficking; empowering victims/survivors; educating professionals to provide comprehensive services
- Flexible schedule; one weekday per month; evening and weekend availability
- Strong presentation skills; experience in public speaking

Program: Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention

Volunteer Assignment Description:
- Provide quality-time and mentorship by being and influential role model, modeling self-worth, healthy relationships, self-care, safety, and trust.
- Serve as a support person and liaison for survivors of human trafficking with Interface’s Advocacy team.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year.
Requirements:
- Must complete 60 hours of domestic violence and human trafficking training and an additional 150 volunteer hours or 1 year to the program
- Committed to preventing family violence/human trafficking; empowering victims/survivors
- Flexible schedule: Mentors meet with their mentee in-person a minimum of once per month and check-in via phone, text, social media a minimum of once per week.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain healthy boundaries.
- Strong comprehension for trauma-informed services.
- Reliable transportation.

Program: Human Trafficking Prevention & Intervention

Volunteer Assignment Description:
- Facilitate structured groups that serve to enhance the autonomy and life skills for survivors of human trafficking. (i.e., ESL, cooking, budgeting, job readiness, resume writing etc.)
- Serve as a support person and liaison for survivors of human trafficking with Interface’s Advocacy team.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year.

- Must complete 60 hours of domestic violence and human trafficking training and an additional 150 volunteer hours or 1 year to the program

Interface Children & Family Services is a recommended site for Master’s student traineeship placements, as well as an organization recommended for employment to individuals in various stages of their careers as therapists. Clinical Supervisors are members of CAMFT or NASW with a variety of experience leading to well-developed clinical skills. Each supervisor complies with the California Board of Behavioral Science requirements to approve hours towards licensure.
