Domestic Violence & Child Abuse Prevention at Interface
The Domestic Violence & Child Abuse Prevention programs aim to prevent, interrupt, and end the cycle of violence through comprehensive programing. Domestic violence and child abuse do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, age, gender or socioeconomic status. Our child abuse prevention programs aim to educate the community regarding personal safety, healthy relationships, and family dynamics in hopes of empowering youth to be able to speak up for themselves and others, preventing future victimization. Interface opened the first domestic violence emergency shelter in 1976 providing a confidential space for victims and their children to be safe.
